A celebration of leadership and innovation
The BESA Awards shine a spotlight on leadership and innovation, celebrating the excellence of the educational suppliers sector. Launched as part of BESA’s 90th anniversary, these awards recognise the outstanding achievements of those who set the standard for excellence in education.
The BESA Awards are open to both BESA Member and non-members and we look forward to you joining us in celebrating the very best in education!
Categories 2025
The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. Friday 21 March 2025. Each entry costs £195 + VAT, or £150 + VAT for BESA members. However, if you complete an Intention to Enter form by Friday 14 February 2025 then you can benefit from an Early Bird discount with each entry costing £150 + VAT, or £125 + VAT for BESA members.

Evidence and Impact Awards
This award recognises organisations that can demonstrate their products and services’ impact on teachers and learners in the UK and overseas.
Outstanding Curriculum and Assessment Resource
This award celebrates the resources that play a crucial role in enriching curriculum and assessment, including learning materials, books, curriculum resources (online and paper), and assessment solutions.
Outstanding Educational Furniture, Equipment or Physical
This award recognises organisations that can demonstrate their products’ impact on teachers and learners.
Outstanding Support Service
This award recognises excellence in service provision to educational institutions. From finance, HR, and payroll to IT services, compliance, and recruitment, this award is for those delivering indispensable support that enables educational institutions to thrive.
Outstanding Training and Career Development
This award recognises those organisations that can demonstrate the impact their products and services are making on enriching training and career development for teachers.
Outstanding SEND Resource or Service
This award recognises excellence in specialist provision of learning materials, physical products or services to support pupils with SEND.
Outstanding Early Years Resource or Service
This award recognises excellence in the specialist provision of learning materials, physical products, or services to support early years pupils and education.
School and Supplier Collaboration
This award is for partnerships that demonstrate outstanding innovation, service, and impact on educational outcomes between a supplier and school. If your collaboration has brought about significant improvements in learning experiences or environments, we want to spotlight your success.
Inspirational Leader
This award recognises CEOs, managers, and industry leaders who bring out the utmost potential in their teams, offering invaluable insights, providing clear guidance, achieving remarkable outcomes and pioneering industry advancements.
Women in Education Award
This award recognises a remarkable woman for ground-breaking contributions to the industry, celebrating innovators who are driving inclusion, impact, and excellence in education.
Best Place to Work
This award recognises organisations that foster an environment where excellence is pursued and cultivate a culture of trust and openness, recognising contributions and achievements and supporting diversity, inclusion and wellbeing.
Team of the Year
This award recognises teams of all sizes, be it a department, project team, or even an informal group within an organisation, that has displayed remarkable teamwork and collaboration.
Rising Star
This award celebrates a remarkable individual who has made a pivotal contribution to their organisation, displays the values that make them critical members of their team, demonstrates exceptional talent, and is in the early stages of their career or is new to the industry.
Sustainability and Net Zero Award
This award recognises organisations that can demonstrate they are playing a crucial role in supporting a move to net zero within their organisation or helping schools and the education industry go green, including curriculum resources, training, products or initiatives.
Make the Difference Award
This award focuses on initiatives that are creating a meaningful impact within your organisation. Whether it is DE&I, CSR or culture-building, we aim to celebrate and acknowledge initiatives worth highlighting, enabling others to gain insights.
Start-up of the Year
This award celebrates an organisation that has launched this year and can demonstrate their impact on teachers, learners, schools and the education industry.
Person of the Year
This award recognises a remarkable individual who has made a substantial impact on their organisation or the industry through collaboration, partnership, mentoring, volunteering or support.
