Under a Memorandum of Understanding between the British Embassy and the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cambridge Worldwide Academy played a central role in the establishment of a British school in Algeria. Acting as the partner school operator, Cambridge Worldwide Academy was responsible for delivering a full-service solution to bring the project to life.

The scope of work included the redesign and conversion of a commercial building into a fully equipped school campus, complete with nursery, primary and secondary sections. This encompassed local manufacturing of branded furniture, procurement of equipment, recruitment and deployment of qualified staff, and full implementation of the British curriculum.

Delivered under tight deadlines and within an emerging market that lacked a clear framework for the establishment of British schools, the project demanded a highly bespoke approach and close collaboration with all stakeholders. Despite these challenges, the school successfully opened in September 2024.

The opening ceremony was attended by Her Excellency the British Ambassador to Algeria, Sharon Wardle, alongside Dr Amina Wakefield, CEO of Cambridge Worldwide Academy, and Mr Ghazi, marking a significant step forward for international education in the region.
