Tom Poole, International Director, EDU+ Week
Tom is a global EdTech event maestro and his passion is curating impactful education events that concurrently support the development of local education ecosystems – whilst providing EdTechs with opportunities to grow their own presence around the world.
He has extensive global experience from leadership roles at two of the world’s biggest EdTech events: The Bett Show in London and the ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego. Recently, he’s brought his global expertise to Korea supporting the EDU+ Week Korea event, where he leads their international expansion efforts. Before joining the world of EdTech events nearly 10 years ago, Tom ran Korea’s biggest food expo – so the people, culture and food of Korea are close to his heart!
His core belief is that the key to globalising education services and products – is by localising – and the way to localise is through meaningful education events.

Jeonghyun Kang, Global Project Manager, LearningSpark
Jeonghyun Kang is a Global Project Manager at LearningSpark. He currently focuses on identifying opportunities and managing projects that support Korean EdTech companies in expanding into global markets.
He has gained practical experience that provides him with a good grasp of both the Korean and international EdTech landscapes.
He managed the 2025 Bett Show guide tour for Korean educators and worked on a government-funded project that helps Korean EdTech companies go global by providing country-specific insights into local EdTech ecosystems.
Jeonghyun contributed to the early-stage operations of Seoul EdTech Softlab, an edtech testbed for public education in Korea, and he has organized collaborative events connecting educators, companies, and researchers.

Hun Jong(JH), CEO, LearningSpark
Hun Jong(JH) is the CEO of LearningSpark, with over 20 years of experience in South Korea’s EdTech industry. LearningSpark is a EdTech research and consulting company that supports the growth of EdTech companies by providing in-depth consulting, developing robust evidence for their products, and sharing global EdTech trends—while also helping shape key conversations among stakeholders, including companies, educators, researchers, and policymakers. Since founding the company in 2015, he has continued to explore how technology can meaningfully support teaching and learning, and remains dedicated to building a healthy, evidence-based EdTech ecosystem in Korea.
He also serves as a Visiting Professor at Dongguk University’s Graduate School of Education Services and holds board-level positions with both the Korea EdTech Industry Association and the Smart Education Society. His advisory experience includes contributing to the EdTech Industry Task Force under the Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
