BESA Women’s Educational Suppliers Network

1. The chairpersonship [the Chair] is held by the BESA executive. The Chair’s responsibilities are as follows:
   1. Final authority on the substance and content of the final submission. Members of the group only act in an advisory capacity.
   2. Ensure the group is operating in a civil, effective and efficient manner.
   3. Ensure that discussions do not breach regulatory and legal requirements.
   4. Authoring the consultation submission.
2. The group is known as the Curriculum Review Working Group.
3. The group will only exist for the duration of the Department for Education’s review process up until its publication in Autumn 2025.
4. Members need to be ready to contribute to the meeting.
5. Members will be required to have their camera turned on for all meetings.
6. Members of the working group must have a financial stake in the delivery, content or changes to the national curriculum.
7. Members are limited to one representative per BESA member company.
8. Members agree to respect the views of others and engage in a civil and respectful manner.
9. This group is open to both Full and Launchpad BESA members.
10. Members of the group consent to data sharing between BESA and the Chair/Vice-Chair of the group in line with BESA’s Privacy Policy.
11. The working group operates under Chatham House rules – the Chair reserves the right to expel members from the group who are known to have disseminated information outside of Chatham House rules.
    1. Members can discuss exchanges with colleagues, but they must ensure they control and are responsible for sharing the information discussed within the group.

How do I join the BESA Women’s Educational Suppliers Network?

Joining the BESA Women’s Educational Suppliers Network is free and open to all. 

• Click ‘Apply to join’ and send in your application letter stating that you want to join the group. 

• Your application will then be presented to the group for approval. 

Meetings take place three times a year online, and you are expected to attend each meeting.
