Maths Circle CEO, Bruno Reddy, has been honoured with an OBE in the 2024 King’s Birthday Honours List for Services to Education.

Bruno Reddy is best known as the creator of Times Tables Rock Stars and NumBots – very popular online tools that address the perennial issue of children feeling unsuccessful in early maths. Over the course of 10 years, these engaging platforms have improved the maths confidence and outcomes of over 8 million children globally, and are now being used in over 80% of primary schools in England.

He says “I am extremely proud and honoured to have been awarded an OBE for “Services to Education”. It is wonderful recognition of the impact that Times Tables Rock Stars and NumBots are having on children’s maths learning worldwide and I am grateful to the whole team at Maths Circle for all their support with our ongoing mission to allow every child to leave school saying they are good at maths”.

During his 20-year career in education, Bruno has co-founded a mould-breaking, non-selective, high-performing school in Edgware Road, London, and created a maths curriculum that inspired many secondary schools to adopt his successful approach. He is recognised for his innovation in solving systemic problems in maths education and a highly regarded classroom practitioner.
