We currently have an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join our fast-paced and collaborative team. 

 

HFL Education is a unique organisation created to support schools in delivering exceptional education and outcomes for children.  Following a significant period of change and growth, our HR and Recruitment Services department has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive person to join our 28-strong team as an HR Manager, leading on the provision of HR services team to our external school and multi-academy trust customers.

 

This varied, dynamic, and interesting role will cover the full remit of generalist HR, with significant involvement in the management of complex employee relations casework, as well as leading organisational change projects, including TUPE, restructure, and redundancy.  

 

As HR Manager, you will manage and coach the HR Advisory team to ensure we provide our customers with a solution-focused, pragmatic and sector orientated service covering the full range of complex employee relations and wider HR issues.

 

As a member of our departmental leadership team, the role holder will support the design of departmental strategy, lead the operational delivery of strategy in their areas of responsibility and play an active role in departmental leadership activities.

 

The role holds responsibility for building, developing and nurturing relationships with senior external stakeholders, and will also be involved in aspects of business development and product and service evolution.

 

We are looking for someone with significant HR experience and a strong generalist background, who can confidently lead our team and the provision of business focused, pragmatic, and customer centric solutions.

 

To be suitable for this role you will need to demonstrate an inquisitive, solution-focused approach to HR practice, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of senior stakeholders.

 

Our ‘working from anywhere’ approach provides colleagues the opportunity to work flexibly in line with their role requirements. In this role you will work on-site across various schools and settings, remotely work from home and attend our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, a minimum of 1 day per week. The ability to reach different locations by car will be essential for this role. If you drive, then a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. As there is a permanent home working element to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped for home working.
